Services

Our physical therapists help patients to regain their strength and balance, prevent falls, increase range of motion, and decrease pain. Through therapeutic exercise programs, patients can increase their strength, muscle function, coordination, endurance, and mobility. This is especially important after a fall, injury, or surgery

We deliver services according to a plan of treatment developed by patients, their family members, physicians and our physical therapists to maximize independent functioning. Patients remain safe in familiar surroundings while family members and caregivers can also be involved. Our skilled professionals can help you after a serious illness, while you are recuperating from surgery or with the management of a chronic condition.

Activities we may be able to help you with include:

  • Learning to safely walk around your home, preventing falls
  • Completing daily activities
  • Increasing strength and activity tolerance for better mobility
  • Conserving energy during movements and help patients stay active
  • Recommendations for home and leisure modifications
  • Improve overall strength
  • Improve how well the body uses oxygen
  • Decrease symptoms of illness
  • Decrease pain
  • Improve sleep and relaxation
  • Enhance mental and emotional outlook
  • Improve balance

Fall Prevention

Falling at home is one of the leading causes of fatal and non-fatal injuries and hospital visits for trauma among older adults.  Our therapists place high importance on fall prevention and identifying risks. A fear of falling causes one to limit their activities and social engagements. This can lead to a physical decline, depression, and isolation.  Take this quiz to see if home health care therapy may be able to help you reduce your risk of falling:
